Dinner Ideas

Ok, my first post on this new blog thingamajig.

How do you come up with dinner ideas?

I have like 4 ideas that I just recycle week after week. I make a pizza on tandoori naan flatbread, ground chicken tacos, baked chicken breast with brown rice,

What are your mainstays/favorites?

oh, the mainstay is always some sort of chicken breast. always!

and i've been preaching about buffalo. buffalo burgers are so good (& so low fat) that it don't make no sense.

for new ideas i try to test out stuff from whole foods. also trading recipes with friends & coworkers is good.

I tend to eat more earlier in the day so a lot of times we keep dinner lighter. We also go through phases- like we'll eat low fat turkey sandwiches for weeks at a time then get sick of them for awhile. I am a huge fan of MorningStar Farms veggie burgers and such. They have new "turk'y" ones that I love! I have decided to slowly phase out most meat...so, we'll see how that goes!!

the morning star veggie patties and boca sausage links are what we eat for breakfast every weekend. you have to cook them in a pan with olive oil and get them cripsy on the outside, otherwise the fake meat stuff is gross.

use egg beaters and it's a healthy breakfast!

WTF. Screw breakfast lol.

I'm kind of the opposite of you jnet. I eat pretty light during the day, so I end up coming home with a pretty serious hunger.

And there is no way I could phase out meat. I don't know what I'd do with myself then lol
